One-room apartment of 42 square meters, for one person. West-facing. The goal was to transform it into a studio, making it more spacious and well-appointed.

Originally, the apartment consisted of two long rooms (the kitchen and the living room), separated by a long partition. It was decided to wall off the entrance to the main room from the entrance hall and create an access from the kitchen, thus uniting the kitchen and living room. Thus, the long partition separating the kitchen and living room was reduced. The void of this long wall was also softened by a 3D plaster panel ornament.

In this way, the apartment was divided into different circulation areas: entrance > bathroom > small hallway > kitchen > dining area > living room > sleeping area. The podium bed allows for a lot of additional storage space, both in the bed's sliding drawers and inside the podium, under the mattress.

A two-level stretch ceiling with integrated LED strips creates subdued and soft lighting in the apartment.
